Spring is Coming! Sign up Now!

It’s been a crazy winter so far, with temperatures in December warm enough to sprout tomato seeds on our compost pile! The strawberry plants were in full bloom – thinking it was their time to shine. Alas, the plants now sit looking rather dejected with their burden of frozen flowers and fruit. But, the good news is that, no matter how crazy the winter may be, spring is coming!

Our greenhouse is filling up with newly sprouted plants, and plans are in place for the best CSA ever (Farmer’s love the fact that they can have a clean slate every year; they also need lots faith and optimism to face whatever may come!)

This year our spring/summer CSA is starting the first week in April – trying to maximize on our favorite time of year. The price per box is remaining the same, although the total price is higher because the season is running two weeks longer. We have a new CSA management program, so the look and feel of the sign up will be a little different, but we believe it will help our overall program.

There’s lots more to say, but the battery on my laptop is about to die and I don’t have a way to plug it in right now, so we’ll just end by saying that we hope you will join us for another season of fresh, garden produce. There are some incentives for signing up early, so don’t delay!

We look forward to serving you again this season!

Blessings,

John – for the whole farm crew

Yesterday (August 30) we said goodbye to this year’s apprentices – that is all but our son Joshua : ). This has been the largest and youngest group we have ever had, but they have done an amazing job!  Their contributions and cheerful helpful ways will be greatly missed! Thank you Allison, Anne Elizabeth, Shelby, Kelli, Jeanssen and Joshua for bountifully blessing our farm.

May God’s blessings go with you.

Uncle John, Aunt Pam and family

Our Farm

Bountiful Blessings Farm is a small, family farm nestled in the hills of Middle Tennessee. Run by the John Dysinger family on land owned by his parents, the farm specializes in berries and year-round vegetables.

Although we were certified organic for many years, we recently dropped our certification (see “Why not Organic?”). We remain committed to the values and practices of organic farming and want you to know that we only grow the highest quality, chemical free produce for ourselves and our customers.

We market our produce through summer and winter CSA's, the 12th Street Farmer's Market, Nashville Grown food hub, Fresh Harvest Cooperative, and The Produce Place, a hometown grocer. You can also find our veggies on the menus of some of Nashville's finest restaurants.

We consider our customers to be part of our extended family and invite you to join us as we endeavor to build healthier families, communities, and environment.

Mission Statement

• We value a quiet, simple, and sustainable life - surrounded by God, family, and friends.

• We aim to serve others through sharing the "fruits" of this life with them.

• We seek to be faithful stewards of the resources placed in our hands, realizing our accountability to God, our family, our customers, and our community.
